Board of Directors

Wallace Ashley



Wallace grew up on the Missouri River in North and South Dakota, on and off of two Sioux Reservations.  He was an active Cub Scout thru Lion, before leaving Scouting and the reservation.  He returned to Scouting as a Tiger den leader in 2001 and has been active in Scouting ever since in numerous roles at the unit (troop and crew) and OA chapter level.  He has two degrees in Architecture that have taken him through Nebraska (UNL, BSArch), London (AA), and Oregon (UofO,MArch).  He is married to a patient wife with 2 older teen children.  The oldest daughter just completed the Venturing Silver award and her younger brother is in his last year of Boy Scouts, finishing his Eagle.  Wallace's hobbies include photography, design, steel fabrication, and Scouting.  He currently is Scoutmaster for Troop 3, Associate Crew Advisor for Crew 762, OA Chapter Adviser for the Cheyenne Chapter, Yah-Tah-Hey-Si-Kess Lodge, and a new adviser to the National Order of the Arrow Committee on American Indian Cultural Issues.  He currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.






Brock C. Ostrander



Brock currently serves the Ostrander Scholar Society as Executive Director and is also a school teacher.  He graduated in 2003 from Eastern New Mexico University with a B.S. in Public Relations and is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow.  Brock served as a chapter chief, lodge vice chief and section chief during his tenure as a youth.  He has staffed one NOAC, one National Leadership Seminar and two National Jamborees.  Brock enjoys doing alumni service projects with his Fraternity, Sigma Chi, and travels with family every chance he gets.  He currently resides in Burleson, Texas.

Cole Robertson




Cole is a licensed real estate broker and owner of Phoenix-Redstone Management and Raider Locators in Lubbock, Texas. An alumnus of Texas Tech University, he majored in recreation & leisure services and minored in business.  Since 2006 he has served on the National Board of Directors of Alpha Phi Omega – National Service Fraternity as its Region VII Director, including being a member of the Executive Committee since 2011.  As a youth he was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.  As an adult volunteer in Scouting, his roles have ranged from Assistant Scoutmaster to District Committee Member.  He is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow.  Cole spent six summers on the staff of Philmont Scout Ranch and is a Life Member of the Philmont Staff Association.  He resides in Lubbock, Texas.
 



Steve Silbiger

Steve currently works for Toyota and is a dedicated volunteer for the Los Angeles Area Council. He served in several youth officer positions in the Order of the Arrow such as Lodge Chief and has served Scouting for over 25 years on the unit, district, council, area, regional and national levels. He has been recognized with the Scouter’s Training Award, Scouter’s Key, District Award of Merit, Distinguished Commissioner, Silver Beaver Award and the Regional Silver Antelope. Steve received the Order of the Arrow's Vigil Honor, Founder’s Award and National Distinguished Service Award. Steve is a member of his council's Board of Directors.  Beyond Scouting, Steve volunteered his time and talents with the California State University Dominguez Hills Alumni Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Circle X Ranch Foundation, Sigma Pi Fraternity and for ten years chaired the Double Vigil Golf Classic benefiting the Maury Clancy Indian Campership Fund. The “Maury Clancy Fund”  provides camperships for native American youth to attend Boy Scout Summer Camp.  Steve currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Advisory Committee Members


Dr. John Biggan

John recently completed his Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience at University of Texas-Arlington.  He graduated in 2005 from the same university with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow.  John has served as a chapter chief, lodge chief, section chief and has served as an assistant scoutmaster.  He has staffed two NOACs and was the Asst. Tech Director for the Scoutopia show at the 2001 National Jamboree.  John enjoys acting, scuba diving, swimming, hiking, water skiing and fishing.   He currently resides in Illinois.




C. Austin Moody





Austin currently works for Bear Transportation as a logistics account manager and has a BBA in Insurance & Risk Management from the Univ. of North Texas.  His younger brother is an Eagle Scout who has enjoyed the splendor of Philmont Scout Ranch.  Austin enjoys cooking, music, do-it-yourself remodeling, exercise and volunteering.  He is an active volunteer with The Jalisco Project.  He currently resides in Plano, Texas.





Hon. Bill Redmond



Bill currently works as a National Representative for Focus on the Family.  He earned a B.A. in Ministry and Administration in 1979 from Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Illinois and in 1988 he completed his masters in divinity degree from the same college.  Bill is an Eagle Scout and Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow and has done numerous projects for the betterment of Scouting.  In addition to his Scouting activities, Bill has served as a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve and in 1997 won a special election to serve New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District as its Congressman.  Now retired from Congress, Bill presently spends countless hours working for the American Chinese Civic Exchange and when not working, enjoys spending time with family. He currently resides in Los Alamos, New Mexico.




James Treftz





James is currently a substitute teacher and recently completed a Masters in Business Administration from the Univ. of Texas in El Paso.   He graduated from the Univ. of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Economics and is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow.  James has attended countless Scouting functions, including NOAC (2000), Section Conclaves (1999-2003) and was a participant in the National Leadership Seminar program.   As a youth, he served as a chapter vice chief and lodge vice chief.  James enjoys swimming, running and spending time with his family and friends.  He currently resides in El Paso, Texas.
